Spanish Language Program

The mission of our Spanish language program is to provide students with the tools to build comprehension and communication skills while fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture.

Immersion Approach

Toddlers: Full immersion with teachers speaking exclusively in Spanish and a curriculum supported by Spanish-language music and activities.

Primary: A dual-language model where Montessori lead teachers speak English, classroom assistants communicate in Spanish, and a special Spanish teacher offers individualized or small-group lessons tailored to each child’s abilities.

Why Language Learning Matters

Young children are natural language learners. While adults may face challenges with language acquisition, children possess an innate ability to learn multiple languages effortlessly and simultaneously. Not only can they process new languages with ease, but they also naturally acquire native pronunciation.

Research has shown that exposing children to a second language in early childhood provides benefits far beyond language acquisition itself. Bilingual children often exhibit enhanced problem-solving skills, improved working memory, and a greater capacity for abstract thinking. Additionally, engaging in a foreign language environment broadens children’s cultural awareness, ignites their curiosity about the world, and fosters an appreciation for diverse perspectives.

Methodology

Our program is not a traditional immersion experience; instead, Spanish is seamlessly integrated into daily activities & lessons, allowing children to acquire the language in a natural, organic way.
