  • Is Kids World Licensed

    Yes, Kids World is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education and Child Care Services.

  • Is Kids World Year-round?

    Kids World preschool program runs from August to June and offers summer camp in July.


    Kids World toddler program is consider year round and are enrolled in summer camp. 


  • Do you close throughout the year?

    Kids World is closed all Federal Holidays and follow FCPS closure for Spring Break & Winter Break. Kids World is also closed in between session of school year and summer camp. 


    All families are given a detailed calendar during enrollment.

  • How does the school & Teachers communicate with parents?

    At Kids World, we use Brightwheel to provide parents with daily reports, photos, and updates. Our teachers also share monthly newsletters featuring class and school news. Additionally, we schedule two parent-teacher conferences each year to discuss your child’s progress.

  • What Makes Kids World Unique Among Bilingual English-Spanish Programs?

    Kids World stands out as the only bilingual Montessori program in the area. Our toddler classrooms are fully immersive in Spanish, led by accredited Montessori-trained teachers.


    Our preschool program follows a 50/50 English-Spanish model. The lead Montessori teacher conducts lessons in English, while our in-house Spanish teacher reinforces these lessons in Spanish through small group and one-on-one sessions for one hour each morning. In the afternoon, our Spanish teacher leads additional small and large group activities, deepening the Spanish language experience for our preschoolers.

  • Is Kids World Accredited?


    Kids World is a member of the American Montessori Society and is proudly recognized as an accreditation candidate. The program is on track to achieve full accreditation by 2026.

  • What Training Do Kids World Teachers Have?


    At Kids World, our educators are highly trained and experienced:


    Lead Teachers: All lead teachers are Montessori-trained through a MACTE-certified program, hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree, and have over 10 years of experience.

    Co-Teachers: Co-teachers are in the process of completing their Montessori certification, hold an associate degree in Early Childhood Development, and have at least 3 years of experience. They work under the supervision of a lead teacher.

    Assistant Teachers: Assistant teachers either hold or are actively pursuing an associate degree in Early Childhood Development.

    Specialty Teachers: Teachers in Spanish, Art, and Music have educational backgrounds in their specific fields.

    Regardless of their role or years of experience, all staff at Kids World complete the following:


    State-mandated safety and health training required by Virginia

    CPR/First Aid certification

    Ongoing training in Positive and Conscious Discipline

    18 hours of annual field training

    This comprehensive training ensures that all Kids World staff are equipped to provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children.
